Hands-on Workshop: Accessing OneStream MarketPlace Solutions to Maximise Your Financial Close Efficiency

Finance departments face many challenges during the financial close process, all of which need to be overcome to deliver an accurate picture of business performance and ensure compliance. The Financial Close process is sometimes lengthy, with Finance devoting enormous time and energy to what should be streamlined.

Join our hands-on workshop to experience how OneStream’s MarketPlace solutions, including Task Manager, Account Reconciliations and Transaction Matching helps streamline this critical process and ensure compliance. We will run the same workshop on four dates, so please select your preferred date when registering.

The workshop will be divided into the following sessions:

09:30 – 11:00 Task Manager
11:00 – 11:15 Break
11:15 – 12:30 Transaction Matching Set-Up
12:30 – 13:00 Break (Lunch)
13:00 – 14:00 Transaction Matching Monitoring and Performance
14:00 – 14:15 Break
14:15 – 15:15 Account Reconciliation Set-Up
15:15 – 15:30 Break
15:30 – 16:15 Reconciliation Monitoring and Performance
16:15 – 17:00 Q&A and Discussion

The Task Manager Solution is a way to organise workflows inside and outside of OneStream. It provides one stop for Administrators to manage and ensure the success of their processes and therefore efficiency of the financial close. Task Manager accomplishes the following:

  • Assigns Tasks based on close dates
  • Allows for communication around Tasks through email and comments
  • Provides at-a-glance charts to see progress of upcoming, due and overdue Tasks

The Transaction Matching solution provides a configurable rules-driven approach for automated matching of transactional-level data. Multiple data sources can be combined in a Match Set or split across multiple Match Sets with different security Access Groups. Any unmatched transactions can be manually matched where supporting attachments and comments can be added. The matching process can occur on a daily, weekly, or monthly time period with a review and approval process. The examples used in the workshop are Bank to GL reconciliation and suspense account reconciliation.

Account reconciliations are critical to ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial statements. If done right, a solid account reconciliations process can reduce risk of financial restatements and reduce external audit costs. Unfortunately, despite their importance, many organisations still fail to invest into key back-office processes such as account reconciliations and face many challenges, including:

  • Over-reliance on manual Excel® worksheets that are error-prone and increase risk
  • Limited workflow management – no centralised visibility (completeness and risk)
  • Unstandardised process – multiple versions of reconciliation templates
  • Gaps between people processes and point solutions
  • Lack of automation – no checks and controls or signals to possible areas of error

OneStream MarketPlace allows you to extend your investment to deliver additional capabilities without adding complexity and disruption. Our MarketPlace includes over 50 solutions that you can download, configure and deploy to quickly address additional requirements.

Join this hands-on workshop to see how you can maximise the value of your OneStream platform.
